| so...the rest of my summer was good. i spent 3 weeks with my cousins in
washington state, visited stanford, and went to choir boot camp! yeah!!
and i got my senior pics done by my amazing aunt - they're pretty
hotttttttttt!
i'd be a lot more excited for school to start if i didn't have so much
work to do before i can go back. i've finished reading zero and
l'enfant noir (for french lit), but i still have to finish my "letter
of introduction" for stegall and two of the six walden responses. oh,
and there's some stuff i need to do for my tech lab (astronomy). so,
really, it's not an INSANE amount of work (especially compared to what
i constantly had last year), but it's still annoying to have to work at
all during the summer.
i'm excited to see everyone on tuesday, though!

| quitting the job went very well - the TV we got for our basement is awesome, and i got an FM transmitter thing for my ipod for half off! and my parents were happy because they got the other TV they wanted and their GPS thing. happy enough to pay for the ipod thing and the CDs i got. haha i love best buy, i just wouldn't want to work for them again! i might work for my voice teacher this fall, helping her with administrative stuff for her voice studio - i really hope that works out.
right now i'm visiting my mom's family in washington state. it's pretty fun...i have a lot of cool cousins (28, to be exact, with 2 more on the way). my dad's side of the family is even bigger...we mormons are pretty crazy like that...
i don't have my schedule yet  . my dad (who's still at home) was going to try to get it for me this morning, but he didn't know if he'd have time. i haven't heard from him yet...i hope he got it, because if he didn't, i'll have to wait until i get back to find out what classes i got...i want to know now!! haha i'm so impatient. | | |
| ok so recap on the summer job: working customer service at best buy, i started it a few weeks ago, it was majorly lame, and i quit on monday, but i have to work my shifts this week. yesterday i had to work 6 hours, from 4-10. but then at 9:45 (45 minutes after the store has closed) the store manager calls everyone to the front of the store, and tells us that none of us can leave until the entire store is spotless, due to some inspection the next day. so i finally got home at 11. it was really tempting to just leave - what were they going to do, fire me? i'd already quit...lol. but i stayed because i want to stay employed by them until friday. i'm going on a shopping spree there with my parents on friday morning to take full advantage of my rather marvelous employee discount while i still can. hopefully they won't mind us buying 2 TVs (one of them a huuuuuge one for our basement), a GPS unit, and as many CDs and DVDs as i can talk my parents into (and saving over a thousand dollars thanks to my discount) on the day i quit...oh well!
